Day 1 Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

Pick up from airport or your hotel in Nairobi by Exciting Africa Holidays Ltd at 0700 hrs .This morning drive past the scenic Athi Plains and into the bushy country of Amboseli National Park. Arriving in time at the Lodge in time for lunch and thereafter go for evening game drive. Amboseli National Park is a landscape dominated everywhere by the glistening, majestic snowcap of the mighty Mt Kilimanjaro - a fitting backdrop to the wild region. It is also the region where pastoral Masai and their cattle have lived in harmony with wild creatures for many a century. After lunch, experience an afternoon game drive at the foot of Africa's highest mountain. Dinner and overnight is at the Amboseli Lodge/ Camp, located in the very heart of the Amboseli National Park. Overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge or similar.

Day 2 Explore Amboseli National Park

This morning you will go on an early wildlife viewing drive in the park and return back to the lodge/camp for full breakfast. Rest of the morning spends at leisure to swim or take a nature walk provided by the lodge/Camp. You will then have your sumptuous lunch and charge your cameras. At 16h00 when the weather cools down and the wildlife is active proceed for the afternoon wildlife. Amboseli is famous for its big game –Elephants, Lions, herds of Buffaloes, Zebra and Wildebeest and its great scenic beauty- the landscape is dominated by Mount Kilimanjaro (Highest Mt in Africa) and ‘floating’ elephants within the swamps whose permanent waters zip down from the Mountain. Later in the evening return back to your lodge.Overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge or similar. 

Day 3 Amboseli National Park to Mount Kenya National Park or Aberdare National Park

After breakfast, drive to Aberdare National Park through lush coffee and tea plantations to reach the small town of Nyeri for lunch before leaving for Tree hotel of your choice, (Treetops, the Ark or Mountain Lodge) in the early afternoon. In case of Mountain Lodge you arrive directly at the lodge for lunch. Enjoy the unique experience of all night and unlimited game viewing. Dinner and overnight at your Tree Hotel surrounded by forest and overlooking an illuminated waterhole and salt lick.Overnight at the Ark lodge 

Day 4 Aberdare National park to Lake Nakuru National Park and afternoon game drive

You will depart after an early breakfast by road for the Ornithological paradise Lake Nakuru National Park which supports a wide ecological diversity of flamingos and other water birds – over 450 bird species have been recorded here. Arrive at around 12.30 pm and begin a game drive en route to Camp/lodge for check in and lunch. Relax till 4.00 pm where you will head on for another game drive and nature walk along the lake shores and return back to the camp/lodge before sunset. Lake Nakuru is a shallow alkaline lake famous for its flamingo population estimated to be more than a million hence it is referred to as the ‘Birds Paradise’ by bird watchers. There are no elephants in the park but the other big five can be spotted including tree climbing lions, the white and the black rhinos which are endangered species in Kenya, the rare Rothschild Giraffe, Cape buffaloes, Waterbucks, Gazelles, Leopard and primates etc can be spotted as well at the park. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge/camp overlooking the lake.Overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge 

Day 5 Lake Nakuru National Park to Masai Mara Game Reserve

After breakfast proceed for a morning game/bird drive around the lake shores as you leave the park for Maasai Mara National Reserve - an extension of Tanzania's Serengeti National Park also known as The 7th Wonder of the World because of the Great migration, witnessed every year between June and September when millions of wildebeests and zebras cross Mara River from Serengeti National Park in Tanzania to Maasai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya in search of food and water and it is famous for its wide variety of resident wildlife all year round . With Lunch at Narok Town you will arrive Maasai Mara National Reserve in time for an afternoon game drive where you may have a chance of seeing the ‘Big Five’, different varieties of birdlife and the best savannah vegetation in the world. This is serene vast country of breath-taking vistas, a panorama of vast rolling plains and rounded hills, of intermittent groves of acacia woodlands and dense thickets of scrub. The Mara River and its tributaries which are margined by luxuriant riverine forest bisect the whole land. The famous Maasai tribesmen live within the dispersal area of the game reserve. And in every direction there are seemingly endless herds of game animals. Return to the Camp for dinner and overnight.Overnight at Mara Sarova Lodge or similar. 

Day 6 Discover Masai Mara Game Reserve

Full day drives for the day to absorb the beauty and splendor of the Mara. In this country of breathtaking vistas, view its vast assemblages of plains game together with their associated predators. Mara has the largest population of lions to be found in Kenya. Other animals to be seen here include Buffalo, Black Rhino, Hippopotamus, Leopard, Cheetah, Common Zebra, Coke's Hartebeest, White-bearded Gnu, Oribi, Warthog and Thomson's and Grant's Gazelles. The bird life of Mara is as profuse as its mammalian fauna. Picnic lunch boxes to be taken at Mara River watching Crocodiles and Hippos. Great way of seeing the length and stretch of the park as well as enjoying the views below. After lunch drive on searching for wildlife. On this day at 1700hrs you will be dropped off at the village for an opportunity to visit the Maasai people to witness the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. Upon arrival at the village proceed for a nature walk with the masai naturalists guide, you will get to see herbs that are used as medication among the masai. Return to the village where a camp fire will be lit, entertainment from both women children and men of the village follows with a chance of you joining in their dances, the chief will then give you stories of their culture and tradition they will show you how the herbs seen during the nature walk are used, prepared and their need for them , you will have a glimpse into their homes and social structure, dinner will be served at the village, coffee and tea as you leave to return to the camp for overnight.Overnight at Mara Sarova lodge or similar. 

Day 7 Discover the Masai Mara Game Reserve

Full day drives, with an option of an early morning game drive and a late afternoon game drive, all meals and overnight at the Overnight at Mara Sarova lodge or similar 

Day 8 Masai Mara Game Reserve to Nairobi

After  breakfast depart for Nairobi arriving there in the afternoon.
